Are You Using Skype?

If, like me, you use Skype then you should be warned there has been some critical flaws uncovered in a recent version of the programme. They actually came to light yesterday and were quickly fixed.

So perhaps you should pop along to the official website and see if you are one of those that needs to download the security patches.

If you are not using Skype then let me tell you that it’s a very handy and very FREE Internet phone programme. All you need is earphones or speakers and a microphone and once you have gone through the easy install procedure for the software you are ready to talk to the world for free.

Microsoft and Yahoo to Merge IM Systems

It seems that a huge proportion of people online use at least one of the three major Instant Messaging systems. And if you’re in a business that focuses on the online market place then you probably find that you need to have two and possibly all three of those systems running on your desktop.

That can be a pain if people on all three networks start talking to you at the same time and it gets even worse if there are a lot of people talking to you at the same time.

If that’s the case then a joint announcement by Mirosoft and Yahoo could be very good news for you. Starting some time after March next year people will be able to combine their buddy lists in MSN and Yahoo
